Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, as well as data received through connected third-party platforms. This includes:
- Account information: Name, email address, and password when you register
- Platform OAuth tokens: Secure authentication tokens for your connected TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, and Snapchat accounts. We never collect or store your platform passwords
- Video content and metadata: Videos you choose to import and their associated metadata (titles, descriptions, thumbnails)
- AI analysis data: Product detection results generated when our AI analyzes your video content
- Affiliate credentials: Your Amazon Associates tag for generating affiliate links
- Engagement data: Comments and keyword triggers from your connected platform accounts used to deliver affiliate links
- Payment information: Billing details processed securely by Stripe — we do not store your full card number
- Usage data: How you interact with the Service, including features used and actions taken
- Security and sign-in data: To protect your account from unauthorised access, we record information about each sign-in and active session: an approximate location (city, region and country) derived from your network address, a one-way hash of that address, a coarse network identifier, and a fingerprint of your browser and operating system family. We use this only to recognise your devices and detect suspicious access. We do not store your full IP address, and we do not use this data for advertising, profiling or any purpose other than account security
Approximate location comes from your network address and is often imprecise — it may show a nearby city rather than your own, particularly on mobile networks or when using a VPN. It is never derived from your device's GPS, and we never ask for location permission.
2. Third-Party Platform Data
When you connect your accounts, we access the following data from each platform through their official APIs:
- TikTok: Video content and metadata that you select for import. We access only the data you explicitly choose to process through Klipq.
- Instagram (via Meta): Account and page information for publishing content. We monitor comments on your posted videos for keyword triggers and send automatic direct messages with affiliate links on your behalf.
- Facebook (via Meta): Page information for publishing content. We post comments with affiliate links on your published videos in response to engagement.
- YouTube (via Google): Channel information and upload capabilities for publishing content to your channel. We post comments with affiliate links on your published videos.
- Pinterest: Account and board information for publishing pins. We include affiliate links in pin descriptions.
- Snapchat: Public Profile information and publishing capabilities for posting videos to your Spotlight. Videos are encrypted before upload, as required by Snap.
For more information about how these platforms handle your data, please review their privacy policies:
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Import and process video content you select for cross-platform posting
- Detect products in your videos using AI and match them to Amazon affiliate listings
- Publish content to your connected platform accounts on your behalf
- Monitor Instagram comments for keyword triggers and send automatic DMs with your affiliate links
- Post comments with your affiliate links on Facebook, YouTube, and Pinterest
- Process subscription payments and send billing-related communications
- Send technical notices, security alerts, and support messages
- Respond to your comments, questions, and support requests
- Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve the Service
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, license, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Connected platforms: We transmit your content and affiliate links to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, and Snapchat solely to perform the services you request
- Amazon PA-API: We send product search queries to match items to affiliate listings. No personal data is shared with Amazon beyond your Associates tag
- Stripe: Payment processing is handled by Stripe, which operates under its own privacy policy
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process
5. Data Security
We implement administrative, physical, and technical safeguards designed to protect the security, confidentiality, and integrity of your data:
- All platform connections use OAuth 2.0 — we never collect or store your social media passwords
- OAuth access tokens are encrypted at rest
- All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
- We request only the minimum permissions necessary for the Service to function
- Payment data is handled by PCI-compliant Stripe — we never store full card numbers
- Sessions can be revoked individually or all at once, and changing or resetting your password signs out every other device immediately
- We monitor for signs that a session has been stolen — such as your session appearing on a device it was never issued to — and can suspend account activity and disconnect Klipq's access to your platforms if we detect a likely compromise
- Network addresses are stored only as one-way hashes, never in full
You can review your active sessions, see recent security activity, and sign out of any device from Settings → Security in your dashboard.
If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it to security@klipq.com and we will address it promptly.
No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. However, we continuously work to improve our security measures.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. You may request deletion of your data at any time by:
- Deleting your account through the account settings in the Service
- Emailing us at support@klipq.com with a data deletion request
Upon account deletion or a valid data deletion request, we will:
- Revoke all connected platform OAuth tokens
- Delete your stored video content, metadata, and AI analysis results
- Remove your personal information and account data
- Delete engagement data (comments, keyword triggers, DM records)
- Delete your session, device and security-activity records
Security data is kept only as long as it is useful for protecting your account. Session records are removed when the session expires or is signed out; recognised devices and trusted sign-in locations are forgotten after 90 days without use; and security activity records are retained for up to 90 days so you can review recent access. All of it is deleted immediately when you delete your account.
Some information may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., billing records for tax compliance). We will inform you if any data cannot be deleted and the reason why.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access and receive a copy of your personal data
- Rectify or update your personal data
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Object to processing of your personal data
- Withdraw consent at any time, including disconnecting any platform account

10. Changes to This Policy
